Last night I went to my monthly film indulgence: Bad Film Club.
Every month, the Barbican hire Nicko and Joe to screen a truly awful film and voice-over it from beginning to end. This month, the lucky film was... Leprechaun 5 - or, as it's official title reads: Leprechaun in the Hood.

With catchy lines like "A lot of time has come and passed. But still I see you're a big fat ass", or my favourite, the shocking, and yet hilarious "Come closer, come closer, my fresh young lass. Let me take a look at you, before I (hoo!) tap your ass", the film definitely lived up to its expectations and tears were coming down our face with laughter.
There are other 2 reasons why I enjoy Bad Film Club so much. Firstly, sweets (normally inspired by the film that is projected) are distributed around the audience, and there's always cake! And secondly, the fantastic mix of people who every month go to the Barbican religiously to see Nicko and Joe in action. From classic City-types, to complete geeks, from posh "blond" skinny girls, to the brilliantly bohemian Hoxton types.
Next month is the Wicker Man, which I'm not particularly keen on watching, but the one in May has Lindsay Lohan - Roll on!
